Platform Improvements: September 2026
Introducing Instant Rollbacks
You can now instantly initiate a rollback to a previous deployment for a given app - right from the Aptible Dashboard! Just like automatic rollbacks, Aptible will redeploy the previous image so you can quickly restore to a good state, making it faster than the average deploy.
No more git push, aptible deploy, or a re-run of a CD run (e.g., via GitHub Actions) to achieve a rollback.

How it works:
Navigate to your desired App. Select the Rollback button from the Last Deployment widget.
Pick any recent successful deployment from your App's overview, and Aptible redeploys that exact container image.
Note: Rollback reverts code and configuration only. It won't undo a migration, restore deleted rows, or revert a Persistent Disk.
You can optionally restore the environment variables from that deployment as well.
Note: Restoring replaces your current variables; it doesn't merge them.
For full details, including environment variable behavior, image requirements for Git Apps, and troubleshooting, see the Rollbacks docs.
Upgraded Instance Generations
Releases and scale operations now default to the newest supported instance generation, using it wherever capacity allows. If it isn't available for the placement, we automatically fall back to the next best generation, so the operation still completes. Your configured container size and profile remain unchanged.
