Platform Improvements: August 2026
MySQL 9.7 is now available
We are excited to announce the release of MySQL 9.7 on Aptible. This is MySQL’s latest LTS release, following MySQL 8.4. MySQL 9.7 introduces a number of updates and optimizations — Oracle highlights a few of the most impactful changes in a blog post here, but you can read about the changes in full detail on MySQL’s What is New page. Aptible will support provisioning new MySQL 9.7 databases and upgrades from 8.4 to 9.7. If you are interested in upgrading or have questions about MySQL 9.7, please contact Aptible Support.
Resource Details Redesign
We refreshed the resource details (Stack, Environment, App, Service, Database, and Endpoints) to provide a more consistent, easier-to-read layout.

CLI Rewrite
We’re excited to announce that the Aptible CLI has been fully rewritten. The new CLI is significantly more performant than the previous version: faster startup, lower memory usage, and snappier command execution across the board.
As part of this release, we’re also kicking off a CLI Changelog to keep you informed of updates as we continue to ship improvements. You can subscribe via RSS to get notified whenever a new release drops.
