# aptible services:settings

This command lets you configure [Services](/docs/core-concepts/apps/deploying-apps/services) for a given [App](/docs/core-concepts/apps/overview).

# Synopsis

```
Usage:
  aptible services:settings SERVICE [flags]

Flags:
      --app string                App handle
  -e, --env string                Environment handle (alias)
      --environment string        Environment handle
      --force-zero-downtime       Force zero-downtime deployment
      --no-force-zero-downtime    Disable forced zero-downtime deployment
      --no-restart-free-scaling   Disable restart-free scaling
      --no-simple-health-check    Disable simple health check
      --restart-free-scaling      Enable restart-free scaling
      --simple-health-check       Use simple (naive) health check
      --stop-timeout int32        Seconds to wait for graceful shutdown
```

# Examples

#### Force Zero Downtime

For Services without endpoints, you can force a zero downtime deployment strategy, which enables healthchecks via Docker's healthcheck mechanism.

#### Simple Health Check

When enabled, instead of using Docker healthchecks, Aptible will ensure your container can stay up for 30 seconds before continuing the deployment.

#### Restart Free Scaling

When enabled, scaling operations that only change the number of containers will not restart existing containers.
