# aptible db:rename

This command renames a [Database](/docs/core-concepts/managed-databases/managing-databases/overview) handle. For this change to take effect, the Database must be restarted. After restart, the new Database handle will appear in log and metric drains.\

Usage:
  aptible db:rename OLD_HANDLE NEW_HANDLE [flags]

Flags:
  -e, --env string           Environment handle (alias)
      --environment string   Environment handle
```
